Perhaps hit the stationary bike and something that doesn't jar your back? I'm guessing it's having a hard time healing if you're jarring it with weights and running. That or you could do yoga. For your back and for the fact a lot of ladies do yoga. But for your back...mainly.
Yeah I've been doing a lot of bike/eliptical work, but I'm going to face a lot of impact fighting, so I may as well see now if I can handle it or not.
Exercise is like a long four letter word for me, so I'd reccommend arm curls with a variable weight... like a pint glass, gradually emptied and then refilled. You can get heaps of repetitions in mate, it'll be good for you. And you'll be working your kidneys and liver at the same time.
